CEU stands for Continuing Education Unit. CEUs are nationally recognized units earned for participation in qualifying continuing education programs and may be used for professional advancement or as evidence of increased abilities in a particular field. In the early care and education field, CEUs are required to renew a CDA.
The CEU measurement is: 1 hour of course completion = 0.1 (or one tenth) of a CEU. Or, you can divide the course clock-hours by 10 to determine the applicable number of CEUs for a class.
